Red Eye

Ella was looking at our photo books the other day with Lincoln and telling him about the pictures they were looking at (mainly ones of her as a baby). I was in the kitchen and overheard this...very knowledgeably and matter-of-factually...

"Yeah, see Lincoln, I had red eyes when I was little."

I didn't correct her, because she definitely has evidence to support her statement.

so there you are

Well, those last 3 posts at least catch things up a little bit on what has been going on with us. We are so excited for warmer weather and long days at the park. Jeremy is working hard as usual. He has been enjoying our new treadmill almost as much as I have. Lincoln and Ella are great buddies and play together all day with Logan trailing behind, trying to keep up with his big brother and sister. They are very good at including him in their play.

Lincoln is basically potty trained. My method...do nothing. He eventually heard enough about his little friends going potty that he decided he wanted to wear underwear too and since then he's done great and I don't even have to set the timer or anything...he just lets me know. I said basically potty trained because he asks for a diaper when he has to do number 2. I figure I'll just keep encouraging him but I'm sure he will decide at some point that he wants to do that in the potty too and we'll be good.

Anyway, loving life, random days spent in sweats, hard treadmill workouts, days with friends, and beautiful children.

Tumbling

Ella just started tumbling and was told by her teacher that she could bring a friend to one of the sessions. She was more than excited to invite her friend Macy. After parking, they grabbed each other's hands and skipped, as only two little girls can skip, into the Sport's Academy where they had a grand time.

Valentine's Day

Ella and Lincoln posing with their beloved valentines from their Grandma Joyce. It was very creative. She sewed a letter and some other valentine treats into plastic, making different compartments and then sent it in the mail. So what you see is what they saw when we opened the mailbox. Thanks Mom!
V-day was great. I love having it on a Saturday. I woke up early and made my family a Valentine's breakfast (strawberry crepes and red juice) and had the table decorated with valentines and little gifts for them. You know the effort is all worth it when you see how excited they are about any little thing. Ella loved the crepes. Lincoln only ate one bite. He was asking for Spaghetti O's within minutes of taking that one bite. I think if he could he would eat Spaghetti O's for every meal. At least every other day he asks for them for breakfast (um...no.)

Poor Logan obviously isn't featured here. He was present I just forgot to take a picture of him.

Lincoln

Ella loves to play with our new digital camera. Here are some of her most recent snapshots.

Lincoln really hams it up.
