Date Night

Nothing better than a swap with other young couples with kids to free up Saturdays. We have a houseful once every five Saturdays. It's awesome. The kids play together (wonderfully most of the time) for the first two hours and then we stick a movie in for the last hour. I would recommend this to anyone with kids who can find a compatible group. We love it.

Are we noticing bad habits from my children in this picture?

Can you say hands in mouths constantly?

Easter

Here are some favorite Easter pictures taken in our backyard.
LOGAN

LINCOLN

ELLA

Crazy, cute kids. We had a fun Easter. We spent time at both grandparents and the kids were definitely sugar overloaded by the end of the day, but they enjoyed every minute of it.

This is how daddy...

...catches a snake.
...helps Ella ride a pony.

...helps Lincoln hold a chick.

...feeds Logan pudding.
...puts the kids to bed.
...spends his Easter Sunday.

Adorable

Ella's favorite word lately...adorable.

Everything is adorable.

"Mom, that shirt is adorable."

"Mom, Logan is adorable."

"That lady in the store was adorable."

"That strawberry is adorable."

Get the picture. She's ADORABLE.

Winter Days

If you haven't noticed, all of my April postings were done today, so check them out. We've been busy, but really no more than usual. Our days are spent playing, working, cleaning, bathing, refereeing, cooking, laughing, and crying. Here are a few pictures of some of the other things we've been doing over the last month.

Baking lots of cookies and licking lots of beaters.

Strawberries and cream for dessert calls for food fight started by daddy.

Homemade aprons for future baking and crafting projects.

Logan's 1st Birthday

We happened to be at a condo on Logan's birthday so he didn't quite get the fanfare the other kids have gotten on their 1st birthdays. We still had cake and presents, but there weren't as many people there and we didn't make quite as big of a deal. He didn't care one bit. In fact, he didn't even want to touch his presents when we were trying to get him to open them. Luckily, Ella and Lincoln were there to help him out. We love our little Logie, Lolo, Loges. He loves to put on a show at dinner time and make us all laugh. He's just started walking and pretty much thinks he's a big kid now. He doesn't each much, is pretty much chronically constipated (too much information?), loves to be held and loved, is starting to really enjoy Curious George, loves bathtime, gives great high-5s, and can sing with the best of them.
Happy Birthday, Logan!

Ward Ski Night

Grandma and Grandpa Jones invited us to their ward ski night and the kids couldn't wait to hit the slopes.

This was Ella's second time skiing. She is an extremely brave skiier, willing to try anything, but thinks her arms need to be pointing straight out at her sides for balance and just because she thinks it looks pretty.

Lincoln is a little more cautious . This was his first time and he is lucky to have such a good coach in Jeremy who is very patient and a skilled enough skiier himself to be able to really help Lincoln out. By the end Lincoln was really getting the hang of it. He looked so small and cute.

Logan didn't ski...surprise, suprise. He enjoyed spending time with grandma in the lodge and sledding a little bit with cousin Hunter.

Grandparents

There's nothing better than Grandma and Grandpa's laps. We are so lucky to have such great grandparents - on both sides. Ella, Lincoln, and Logan can't get enough of them and are always asking for sleepovers, pajama parties, movie nights, etc. Thanks mom and dad and Rob and Rosie for being not only awesome grandparents but willing babysitters as well.

A New Game

I discovered the kids playing this fun new game the other day.

Game Setup: Trap Logan in laundry basket.

Objective: Keep Logan happy by slipping him toys through the holes in the sides.

Winner: Logan

Tree House Museum

We took a trip to the Treehouse Museum last month with some friends. Highlights were making crafts, going to the storytime hour and singing along, losing sight of Logan - twice (I'm a horrible mother), playing at the Arcades and having the kids thrilled to win a couple of tickets so they were able to buy small plastic toys - just what we needed.
